In 2023, across the face of the planet, enormous sculptures of twisted keys will appear in public spaces - giant, awe-inspiring conversation pieces, in a world badly in need of open dialogue.

The brainchild of renowned artist Alfred ‘Milot’ Mirashi, The Keys of Unity will become an historic symbol, opening doors to experience cultures, and encouraging dialogue between people. A highly visible project on a global scale - from Boston to Brisbane; from Sao Paulo to Seoul, the keys are a worldwide call to action.

This is not just public sculpture, but a youth project, a design opportunity, a forum for debate, and a space for culture.

What are The Keys of Unity?

Conceived by MILOT, The Keys of Unity will be a collection of giant, individually designed sculptures placed around the world, where people can congregate, converse, debate, find common ground and embrace their differences. The sculptures will be a literal talking point in every location they touch, a new town square.

What Are the Sculptures?

They are all twisted Keys, designed to echo their location. If a key is bent out of shape, then there can be no more locked doors… the keys are twisted to always keep dialogue open.

Where can I see the Keys?

Currently in Naples and Cervinara, and next, Albania and Rome. Coming soon to Northern Europe, the Americas, and Oceania.

The Keys of Unity Project & Tours

There will be three touring keys : The Dream Key , The Key of Today, The Water Key. Each key sculpture will measure around 30 meters long and 10 meters high, reaching about 20 cities with a 3 month stay in each.

Along with the tours there will be 12 permanent keys installations, every one of them uniquely designed, using local materials.

Each unveiling will be a huge occasion: a music event, TED Talks, and, for the touring keys, the Passport Stamp Award Event - an award given to a young artist (18 yrs or younger) in the exhibiting city, where their winning design for a passport stamp will be lasered on to the sculpture.

The Key of Today will be exhibited in the piazza del mercato in Naples, Italy from March 30th - June 30th 2023.

During the tours, Team Unity will speak at each event on an individually chosen platform where they wish to unlock dialogue: mental health, leadership, environment, humanism, & peace.
